Terms of Service
Effective date: September 1, 2026
Acceptance of these terms
By installing or using Market Feed Guard (the “Service”) on a Shopify store, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or continue using the Service.
Description of service
Market Feed Guard monitors a merchant's product feed against their Shopify Markets configuration for pricing, currency, and product-matching issues, and sends the merchant email notifications when issues are detected or resolved.
Merchant responsibilities
- You are responsible for providing an accurate, accessible feed URL, and for the accuracy of the market/country and notification settings you configure.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your own feed content and your Shopify product/pricing data; the Service compares the two but does not create or manage either.
- You must have the right to use the feed URL you provide with the Service.
Feed accuracy limitation
The Service reports comparison results based on the feed content and Shopify data available at the time of each check. It does not guarantee that every discrepancy will be detected, or that a reported result is free of error — for example, a feed that is temporarily unreachable, malformed, or served in an unexpected format may cause a check to fail or produce an incomplete result.
Monitoring and notification limitation
Scheduled checks and email notifications are provided on a best-effort basis. Delivery of a notification email is not guaranteed (for example, due to the recipient's mail provider, an incorrect notification address, or a failure of the underlying email delivery service), and the Service should not be relied on as your sole method of catching feed issues.
No guarantee of uninterrupted service
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and it may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
Third-party services and Shopify dependency
The Service depends on the continued availability of Shopify's platform and APIs, and on third-party infrastructure and email delivery providers we use to operate it. We are not responsible for outages or changes in those third-party services that affect the Service.
Subscription and billing
Market Feed Guard does not currently charge for use of the Service. If paid plans are introduced in the future, applicable pricing and billing terms will be presented to merchants and will require acceptance (including through Shopify's billing approval flow, where applicable) before any charge takes effect; these Terms will be updated to reflect that at the time.
Intellectual property
Market Feed Guard, including its name, branding, and underlying software, is owned by its operator. Merchants retain all rights to their own store data, feed content, and product information.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for a merchant if we reasonably believe it is being used in a way that violates these Terms or poses a security risk to the Service or to other merchants.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Market Feed Guard will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost sales, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
